Heiligendamm

The oldest seaside resort on the Baltic Sea coast

The oldest seaside resort of the German Baltic coast can be easily reached in just 15 minutes with the historic steam Train "Molli".

Already more than 100 years ago, Heiligendamm was a fashionable meeting place for the European aristocracy and the great bourgeoisie, faithful to the inscription on the gable of the Kurhaus: "Cheerfulness awaits you here, you get healthy the bath".

After Heiligendamm was given a sad decay for many years, the ensemble of unique classical buildings has been shining back in the old splendour since 2002.

Worthwhile is a visit to the pier, the Evangelical Forest Church, the Catholic Forest Chapel and the oldest racecourse in Europe, especially the annual "Baltic Meeting" in midsummer.
